Choosing a school that's right for your child is such a significant decision, we are happy to partner with families and answer any and all questions that come up during your decision-making process.

Enrolling at St Joseph's Kingswood is easy:

  1. Complete an enrolment form and bring it in along with your child’s birth certificate and application fee
  2. Meet with the Principal during the year prior to commencing (we will contact you to make a time) and pay the commitment fee to confirm your child’s place
  3. Commence our JOEYS program (two terms prior) or an alternate transition program
  4. Welcome! Your child begins their time at St Joseph’s Kingswood.

Enrolment Information

The availability of a place in the school is always determined by the number of enrolment applications.

Children beginning school for the first time are enrolled in the Reception class. They commence their schooling in Term 1 of a school year once they have turned five years of age on or before April 30. Children turning 5 on or before October 31 May commence their schooling in Term 3. Children turning five after this date commence school in Term 1 the following year.

Children who are enrolled at other stages of their schooling will commence at a time determined by circumstances, and at a year level appropriate to their chronological age.

We also have a transition program called Joeys and is for 4 year old children. This is a fun engaging program with the aim of preparing children for school life. This program runs for approximately 16 weeks on a Wednesday 9am-11.30am. If a child was starting school in Term 3 they would start JOEYS at the beginning of the year. If a child was starting school at the beginning of a year they would start JOEYS in Term 3. Please call the school for more information. 

Enrolment Steps

In order to enrol, please be guided by the following steps:

  • Obtain an enrolment package from the school office. This includes a school prospectus and an enrolment form.
  • Lodge an application for enrolment with the school office. A non-refundable enrolment fee of $50 is required when an application is lodged.
  • The school will invite you and your child to attend an enrolment interview with our Principal.
  • The enrolment application will be accepted if the enrolment is in accordance with our enrolment policy and there is a place available.
  • When enrolments are accepted a non-refundable deposit of $300 per student is payable. This is credited towards your child's fees in the year they start.
