STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths. Whist teachers have always been teaching these subjects in isolation, we now combine these aspects of learning to allow students to use a range of skills and creativity to help them explore their worlds and answer questions about how and why things work the way they do. At St Joseph's Kingswood we are committed to educating children using a range of programs and resources to help them become informed digital citizens of the world.
Currently our Rec-Year 2 students have access to 1:2 iPads, our Year 3-5s are 1:1 iPads and our Year 6s use MacBooks. We also work closely with an Apple Specialist who is helping students and teachers use IT skills and hardware to aid learning.
